North East Little League Completes Capital Improvement Project with ECGRA Community Assets Grant

In September of 2017, the North East Little League was awarded $6,105 in matching funds from the Erie County Gaming and Revenue Authority for the completion of a capital improvement project. The project involved clearing and grading the northwest corner of the Denny Lowes Memorial Field to allow for an additional 15,000 square feet of parking space and the installation of a new, 55-foot Pro-Series batting cage. NELL would like to thank ECGRA for their generous support, as well as the many community members and businesses that assisted with the completion of this project. Many individuals and businesses provided services or materials at a discount or no charge. NELL would like to acknowledge the following: Mark Houser - Houser Excavating, Gary Hess - Superior Walls, Tom Englert - Showman Jr Excavating, Jim Courtwright - Ridg-U-Rak, Tim Girts- Girts Maintenance, Fritzer Shunk, Gus Neff and crews of The North East Township. NELL would also like to thank the many coaches, volunteers and neighbors who gave their time and energy to ensure the success of this capital improvement project.
